Travis-Ganong

Travis Ganong races on the world stage with an outstanding performance in the Men's Olympic Downhill in Sochi, Russia. Travis with his best finish in a major international competition, comes in at 5th place, only .31 seconds behind Bronze medalist Kjetil Jansrud of Norway. His performance may have surprised some but not his veteran team mate Bode Miller, "I train with Travis all the time, I know how good he is. He is one of those guys that has confidence in his ability, he goes out and skis hard no matter what."

Travis did what he set out to do, ski aggressively, push off the jumps and land with a smile on his face. Our hometown Olympic skier made us proud! Congratulations Travis. It was fun to watch you and cheer for you and we loved the camera shots of your elated parents, Rick and Jan.
