IGNIK FIRECAN

Many state and national parks and most US Forest Service campgrounds are banning campfires, and for good reason. Wildfires in the West have become the norm, scorching and destroying hundreds of thousands of forests and grasslands. The origins of some of these disastrous fires are out of our control. Many are ignited by lightning strikes and whipped up by dry summer winds. Unfortunately, many are human-caused. Sparks and burning embers from campfires are a big problem. No matter how careful we are, a campfire thought to be snuffed out can reignite with a gust of wind. Sometimes, that is all it takes to let loose a firestorm.

FIRE BAN - PROTECT THE PLAN

The good news is you can still enjoy an evening campfire. Granted, it is not like the rip-roaring flames of a wood campfire, but the flames of an Ignik FireCan will provide plenty of heat and ambiance. Best of all, NO SMOKE! Add lava rock to the firebox to give the flames the flickering effect of an old-fashioned campfire.

THE IGNIK FIRECAN HAS AN OFF SWITCH, MAKING IT LEGAL IN MOST CAMPGROUNDS WHERE CAMPFIRES ARE NOT

One of the key advantages of the Ignik FireCan is its portability. It weighs only 9.2 pounds and measures 12x6x7.5 inches. The supporting legs fold under the can, and the removable lid has a handle for convenient carrying. A standard propane canister can fuel the FireCan, but we recommend the Ignik Growler for optimal safety and more burn time.

The Growler is refillable at about the cost of a single-use green bottle and lasts five times as long. It comes with a 4'/1.2M hose and attaches to all heaters and stoves compatible with green propane bottles. It also includes an easy-to-carry rugged protective case with room for the hose.

If you're like me and hate missing out on a night around the fire, the Ignik FireCan is a must-have. We use it on our deck and at the beach, and it's the first thing we load up when heading out on a road trip adventure.
