When I’m skiing some of the bigger lines at Squaw and Alpine, I like to know that the bindings under my feet are solid. Most of the bindings out on the market just don’t give me the confidence I need to know that they won’t release at a bad time. The Rossignol FKS 180 XXL however are some of the most solid bindings I have ever skied, and give me the confidence I need to pull off the bigger lines. The Rossignol FKS is constructed with metal rather than plastic like many of the other bindings on the market. After skiing the FKS’s for years, I wouldn’t go to any other binding, not only is it solid but the 0o ramp angle puts me closer to the ski, giving me more control and a better feel for the ski. And with the pivot toe piece that offers four points of contact, resulting in amazing power transmission, I feel the binding like I have not felt any other.

Often times I’m in situations where a pre-release of the binding would be catastrophic, other bindings have done this in the past and I paid for it. The FKS however has never pre-released on me, and with a DIN range of 8 to 18, I feel fairly confident that if it were to release, it’s for the best. The Rossignol FKS 180 XXL binding gives me the confidence I need in my equipment, in turn giving me more confidence in my ability to pull off those hard charging lines. I love the FKS and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid binding for any condition.
