"The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail (abbreviated as ‘TPT’) is based on a vision for a trail that would follow the entire length of the Truckee River, from its source at forested Lake Tahoe (6225′) to the desert terminus of Pyramid Lake (3796′). The current route can be traveled by foot or by bicycle, and when fully completed, will descend over 2000 feet during the entire course of the 114-mile long trail, using a combination of existing dirt and paved roads, bike paths, historic roads, as well as many new sections of trail and connecting bridges."

Granite Chief is happy to announce that we will be selling Tahoe Pyramid Trail Jersey's at the shop made by Garneau. Some of the proceeds will be going towards maintenance of the trail and completing the final few sections. This trail was first envisioned back in 2002 by Janet Philips and has slowly but surely come to fruition. You can now ride a bike or walk on a trail alongside the Truckee River all the way from Truckee to Sparks! There are only a few more sections between Reno and Pyramid that still need to be finished in order for the full 114-mile trail to be complete! If you would like to support this awesome project or simply want to be the proud owner of an amazing Jersey, come in and get yours at Granite Chief today! You can also order your jersey online from our website!  (If ordering online we recommend that you size up as we feel they run on the small side).

If you have not had the opportunity to get out and explore this trail, we highly recommend it! For more info about it or if you would like to volunteer please visit their website!
