"It is better to go skiing and think of God, than to go to church and think of sport" -Norwegian Proverb from Ryan Quinlivan on Vimeo.

We set off driving through the night from Minneapolis, two former racers on a journey to find pillows, glades, chutes, & powder. After a run-in with the ND State Patrol 1/2 mile before the Canadian border, we pointed the Subaru west along the Trans-Canadian Hwy 1 for several hundred miles. The Subie got us to Lake Louise, AB where it met its last RPM. Fitting that a ski car died on a ski trip in Canada. Without much faith but without any other options, we entrusted our trek over the mountain passes to a rented Corolla -- "Just keep your foot the gas!"

1 day skiing at Lake [Rock] Louise, 2 days at Revelstoke ("Revy"), and 4 days at Kicking Horse where we averaged 20,000 vertical feet each day while snorkeling thru BC powder.

As a Norwegian proverb states, "It is better to go skiing and think of God than to go to church and think of sport"
