Granite Chief shop athlete Isaac Mozen was nice enough to provide us with an update as to how his season is coming along so far. Turns out, it's coming along quite nicely. Y'know, if you're into crushing ski races and qualifying for big events, that sort of thing.

Here's how it's going, in his own words:

After the qualifiers at Squaw I had qualifiers at Northstar and I got a 9th and a 12th in the GS races and I straddled in the slalom race. Then there was the two open slalom races and the one open GS race at Squaw. In the slaloms I won both slalom races by over a couple of seconds in the U16s and got top ten overall. Then at the GS I fell on the second run.

A couple of weeks ago I went up to Idaho and did a couple of Downhill races at Soldier Mt. I got top 10 at both Downhill races and got my downhill points down to about 186. Then this past weekend I had the final regional championship qualifier at Mammoth, which was 3 SuperGs. The first day I did pretty bad because I got really late on the course and I got top 40 or 45. The second day I got 13th and on the last day I got 32nd. After all of the Regional qualifiers I have qualified for the Regional Championships at Mammoth on the 3/17/16-3/20/16. I am super excited that I qualified and can't wait to participate. Hope all is well with you guys! Here is a picture of me on the podium at Squaw when I won and I'm wearing a Granite Cheif sweatshirt hat and Norma Lausmann's old speed suit.
